Crazy Times and Easter

I know it's a shock. I am finally posting again. What better to do with your time when you wake up at 4 am and can't sleep. It's beginning to happen a little too frequent around here. It has been a little crazy at our house since Easter. About a year ago we got a crazy idea in our heads that we should build a house. After 6 months of working on a plan we finally came up with one that we liked. The week of Easter we were finally able to put our house on the market (we had to wait that long because we hadn't been in our house 2 years yet) and we broke ground on our new house. A little scary because of the way the market is, but we still felt good about it. About a week ago we finally got an offer on our house and we accepted. We now have 3 weeks to be out of our house. We still have about 8 more weeks until our new house is liveable, so we will be bouncing back and forth between family's houses and when school starts we will probably live in one of those extended stay motels for about a month. Not my ideal situation, but who can pass up someone making your beds everyday and washing your sheets every week. We feel very blessed that we were able to sell our house in 10 weeks. We have neighbors who have had their house on the market for over a year and some and coming close to 2 years.

Here are some pictures from Easter. We had so much fun. My parents came down, and we had cousins that had baseball tournaments so they were here. We had our big dinner and Easter egg hunt Saturday because some of the family had to leave early on Sunday. I hate dyeing easter eggs. I normally find another way to decorate eggs, but since grandma was here we dyed them. The kids hands of course were stained, but they had so much fun. Good thing it only happens once a year. The kids this year all got flip flops, a movie, and a couple of treats. Easton couldn't get enough of the jelly beans.
