Clayton's Birthday Party

This year for Clayton's Birthday he got to choose a few friends(Jack,Dawson, and Keegan) to go to the St. George Roadrunners baseball game. Before the game we had hot dogs, soda, and nachos. We opened presents (he got backugans, money, remote control car, finger size skateboards and ramps, clothes, and a wii game). We also had giant baseball cupcakes. At the game they always have promotional games and Jay and Clayton got chosen to do the father/son activity. Clayton had to hit a ball off the tee and then Jay had to hit off the tee where Clayton's ball landed and try and get it out of the park. Clayton hit the ball 3/4 off the way and Jay was able to hit it out. Clayton won some money to the snack shack and Jay won free dry cleaning (Yeah!! no more ironing for a month).

Clayton's likes: sports, playing outside with his friends, the Wii, favorite food is lamb(he won't eat much else but he will eat this), teasing his sisters, loves singing take me out to the ballgame to Easton, giving hugs & kisses, Tom & Jerry cartoons, Math

Dislikes: doing his jobs, tomatoes

California Vacation

About a month ago we finally got to take our family vacation. We have been talking about it and planning it for about 2 years and something kept coming up. We got to go to California for a week. It was a much needed break after all the craziness over the past couple of years. My parents, 2 sisters and brother-in-law also came with us.

We went to Crystal Cove Beach and Newport Beach while we were in California. At Crystal Cove Beach there were tide pools. We went when the pools were low, so we were able to see a bunch of crabs and we also saw this huge sea slug that was pretty cool.

One of the nights we went and saw the Dodgers play. It was a fun game and the kids loved it. (Who wouldn't when your parents were loading you up with "Dodger dogs", soda, popcorn, cotton candy, and ice cream.) The game went into extra innings and the Dodgers ended up winning in the 10th. Great game.

We had a 5 day hopper pass to Disneyland. It worked out really nice. We were walking distance to the park so we would go in the morning, and then in the afternoon we would come back and eat and nap for awhile, and then go back for the rest of the evening. We were able to hit all the concerts, shows, parades, and stuff that you normally wouldn't have time to do. One morning we got to eat breakfast with the characters. It was my parents birthday present to the kids. It was fun beacuse we got to have one on one time with each of the characters there. The characters came around to each individual table to spend time with the kids. It was also almost the only place we saw characters because they didn't come out too much.

One of the kids biggest highlights was the Star Wars Jedi training. They pick about 20 kids from the audience and they train them to be Jedi's. After about 10 minutes Darthmal and Darth Vador come out and the kids get to use their moves they just learned and fight the bad guys. All 3 of our kids ended up getting picked for the same show. They all got to fight Darthmal. Of course after the training was over they all wanted to buy light sabors with their money. It was so much fun and the looks on their face when they got chosen was priceless. One vacation they will never forget. Can't wait for the next vacation!!!
